17 July 2017, Darwin, Australia - Australian software company ServiceM8 has been identified as one of seven leaders in the field service software market, according to SoftwareAdvice.com’s May 2017 FrontRunners for Field Service evaluation of over 400 products.
Powered by Gartner Methodology, the data-driven assessment of field service products is undertaken biannually to help small businesses make informed decisions about what software is right for them. The independent report evaluates and scores hundreds of field service products in terms of the Capability and Value they provide users, with scores based largely on reviews from existing software users.
The FrontRunners for Field Service report identifies the top 25 to 30 products, or FrontRunners, in field service software, and maps them to a quadrant of Leaders, Masters, Pacesetters and Contenders based on their scores. ServiceM8 was assessed a market Leader, with a Capability score of 3.98 out of 5, and a Value score of 4.05 out of 5.
According to the FrontRunners report, “Leaders are all-around strong products that offer a wide range of functionality to a wide range of customers. These products are considered highly valuable by customers.”
ServiceM8 CEO, Mr Kim Ford, sees the regular report from Software Advice as a valuable resource for small businesses in industries such as home contracting, plumbing or pool care. “People who run a small business are extremely busy. When they come to the realisation that they need a field service software solution, it’s a fantastic first step, but they simply cannot afford the time to research every single offering out there themselves.”
“There are literally hundreds of field service software products now, which for a small business owner makes the prospect of reviewing all these options, then making a choice, quite daunting. What makes it harder is the fact that implementing the wrong solution for your business can actually leave you worse-off than before you set out,” Mr Ford explained.
“Free access to a reputable, comprehensive and independent assessment of the options in Software Advice’s FrontRunners for Field Service is just gold for time-poor small businesses in the market for field service software. It helps them get their head around all the options, and gives them peace-of-mind in their final decision” Mr Ford said.
